- The many and varied contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are woven into the fabric of the City of Seattle. In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, this virtual collection compiles a sampling of digitized photos, moving images, and textual records that illustrate how these contributions are represented in the Seattle Municipal Archives holdings. Documenting city projects and workers, elected officials, parks, and celebrations and festivals, the materials show the people and events that have helped build infrastructure, direct policy, drive the economy, develop neighborhoods, and create lasting community.
