- Footage of a community meeting at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, in Seattle’s Central District, after the death of black motorist Aaron Roberts. Roberts was shot by a Seattle Police Officer on May 31, 2001. Community organizers present the Peoples Coalition for Justice's demands regarding police accountability and the Black community. The demands included firing the two officers involved, an investigation into racial profiling, the establishment of an independent civilian-review board and an economic-development program to reinvest in the Black community.
Speakers include Dustin Washington, Rev. Robert Jeffery (New Hope Missionary Baptist Church), Seattle City Councilmember Richard McIver, Seattle City Councilmember Nick Licata, Seattle City Councilmember Jim Compton, and Seattle City Councilmember Richard Conlin. - Language:
