- Seattle Public Utilities presents the closing celebration for Black History Month 2000 as a brown bag event at the Arctic Building, Dome Room. The theme for BHM 2000 was "African Americans Here & Now: Inspirations for Today." Emceed by Renee Ellis (SPU).
Featuring dance performances from Tap Central Studios and University of Washington Phi Beta Sigma Steppers, singing performances by Renee Ellis and Margaret Carter (Deputy City Clerk, City of Seattle) and a theatrical performance by local mime group, Silent Grace.
Speakers include Marcella Arcery (SPU) and Joe Carter (SPU).
Part of the 2000 Black History Month celebrations and educational events sponsored by the City of Seattle and organized by Seattle Public Utilities Diversity O Team. - Language:
