Biography
Seattle Water Department photographer, born April 23, 1919 and died March 5, 2012. Leif served in the Civilian Conservation Corps for 12 months in 1938 as a landscaper, serving in North Bend and Port Angeles. He worked as a shipfitter in the Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, before and during World War II. He served in the U. S. Navy, stationed in the South Pacific. He attended West Seattle High School and University of Washington. The major part of Leif's career was spent at the Seattle Water Department. where he was a photographer.
