City Clerk General Files ➔ A petition, signed by 94 citizens and taxpayers, was submitted requesting that a liquor license not be granted to a saloon location in the Juanita House. The saloon was located on the corner of Fourth and Pike Streets. The Juanita House was "for private lodgings of a respectable kind only." The petitioners were concerned that the saloon was located in a residential area with many churches and a school.
