Statistical and narrative reports including birth, death, and disease information correlated by variables. The 1932-1935 report traces most statistics from 1901 to 1935. The 1939-1943 report is a 433 page history and survey of public health in Seattle and includes a brief history of the city. The 19th Century reports are photocopies; location of the originals is unknown.

Verbatim transcripts of hearings on issues including limited access highways, department head appointments, ethics and fair campaign practices, urban renewal, allegations of graft in government, and public utility regulation. Especially interesting are the 1924 hearings by the City Council's Departmental Efficiency Committee investigating corruption in the Seattle Police Department. Also includes petitions and notices related to the hearings.

Scope and Contents note Department of Health or Sanitation and Health Officer Reports date from 1896 to 1947; Seattle-King County Department of Public Health Annual Reports date from 1950 forward. Early reports include information on sewer and solid waste in the City as these were issues closely related to health conditions. There are two reports for 1896.
