Abstract
An Ordinance providing for the laying off, widening, extending, and establishing of a certain strip of land in the City of Georgetown over and across Lot 2, Block 8, King County Addition, to be used for the westerly approach to the Howard Street viaduct, and providing for the taking and damaging of land and other property necessary therefor, and for the ascertainment and payment of the just compensation to be made for the private property to be taken or damaged for said purpose, and providing th at the judgment, and all expenses that the City of Georgetown may be put to for such condemnation shall be assumed and paid for by the Oregon & Washington Railway Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Oregon, in conformance with Ordinance No. 409 entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Georgetown granting to the Oregon and Washington Railroad Company, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Oregon, its successors and assigns, the right, privilege and authority to locate, lay down, construct, maintain and operate sundry railway tracks in, along, and across sundry streets, avenues, alleys and other public places within the limits of said city, and granting to said company, its successors and assigns, rights of way for such tracks in, along and across all such streets, avenues, alleys and other public places of said city, upon the compliance by the grantee, its successors and assigns, with all the conditions, restrictions, specifications and agreements expressed in this Ordinance." passed by the City Council of City of Georgetown on the 2nd day of November, 1908, and approved by the Mayor on the 11th day of November, 1908.
