Abstract
An Ordinance providing for the improvement of the following Avenues and Streets in the City of West Seattle: Rainier Avenue, Laurel Street, Maple Street, Grant Street, Edgewood Avenue, Glenwood Avenue and Oak Street by grading and parking the said avenues and streets, and by constructing cement sidewalks thereon according to plans and specifications prepared by the Engineer in charge of said work, and to assess the cost thereof to the property abutting on the said avenues and streets and to the property benefitted by said improvements, and providing for the costs and expenses thereof, and establishing Local Improvement District No. 8 in accord with and pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 175 of said City, and providing for the payment thereof by the method of "Payment by Bonds" as set forth in "An Act of the Legislature of the States of Washington entitled "An Act authorizing the issuance and sale of bonds by cities, improvements, providing the issuance and sale of bonds by cities, to pay for local improvements, providing for the payment thereof, and declaring an emergency.", approved March 14, 1899 and Ordinance No. 119, passed and approved October 9, 1905, Pierce's Code, Section 7665, and Ordinance No. 175 of the City of West Seattle, passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of said City on the 22nd day of April, A. D., 1907.
