Biographical
Darryl Smith was the Deputy Mayor of Community under Mayor Mike McGinn from 2010-2013 working with community groups, neighborhoods, international business leaders, and regional policy makers. He chaired Mayor’s task force on homeless encampment; spearheaded the Women and Minority Business Enterprise (WMBE) Inclusion Plan; represented the mayor in economic development issues and civic engagement. He was previously president of Great City and a member of the board of directors of the Rainier Valley Community Development Fund. Smith was president of the Rainier Chamber of Commerce and served on the Seattle Planning Commission and the board of Allied Arts.
