Historical Note
In 1999, the Office of Housing was established independent of the Department of Housing and Human Services, which was reorganized as the Human Services Department. The Office of Housing is an executive office of the Mayor; the director is nominated and appointed by the sitting Mayor. The Office of Housing supports families of all income levels through the production of affordable housing.
