Historical Note
Sally Bagshaw was born in Portland in 1951 and attended Stanford University and the University of Idaho's law school. She worked as an Assistant Attorney General and as a business and finance lawyer for both Washington State University and the University of Washington. For eight years she was Chief of the Civil Division of the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Bagshaw was elected to City Council in 2009 and reelected in 2013. In 2015 Council was reorganized to be based on districts, and she was elected to represent District 7. She chaired committees focused on parks, neighborhoods, and human services. She chose not to run again in 2019.
