Scope and Contents Note

Records from a commmittee that provided oversight on the City's public assets such as parks and libraries, as well as coordinating the City's work related the King County Regional Homelessness Authority. This series also includes some 2020 records from the Select Committee on Homelessness Strategies and Investments. There are not files for all meetings, and the files for most meetings do not include presentations and other supporting material.

Biographical Note

Andrew Lewis represented District 7 on City Council from 2020 through 2023. Lewis grew up in Ballard and completed a BA in history and political science at the University of Washington. He went on to earn an MA from the London School of Economics and a JD from the University of California Berkeley. Back in Seattle, he worked as a deputy prosecutor for the King County Juvenile Division and later as an assistant city attorney for the city of Seattle. As a councilmember, he focused on homelessness, public safety, parks, and climate change. He was defeated by Bob Kettle in the 2023 election.
