Biographical

Andrew Lewis represented District 7 on City Council from 2020 through 2023. Lewis grew up in Ballard and completed a BA in history and political science at the University of Washington. He went on to earn an MA from the London School of Economics and a JD from the University of California Berkeley. Back in Seattle, he worked as a deputy prosecutor for the King County Juvenile Division and later as an assistant city attorney for the city of Seattle. As a councilmember, he focused on homelessness, public safety, parks, and climate change. He was defeated by Bob Kettle in the 2023 election.
