Petition by property owners of Lake Street for street lights from Lake and Depot north for seven blocks. The City Council recommended granting the petition. The Corporation Council noted that the Charter required an ordinance for lights required the location be designated.

Sixteen property owners on Cedar Street petitioned the Council for sewers on Cedar Street to run from the Bay to the alley between Third and Fourth Streets.

Bill No. 100 House of Delegates related to the amount of Road Poll Tax due from every male inhabitant in the City of Seattle; males between the ages of twenty one and fifty were to pay two dollars a year. Communication from O. Jacobs, Corporation Counsel to the City Comptroller and Assessor agreed. C. W. Ferris stated a loss in revenue occurred due to failure of collection poll taxes. Bill No. 189 Board of Alderman authorized the City Treasurer of the City of Seattle to employ Deputies to assess and collect the City Road Poll Taxes. House of Delegates Bill No. 99 replaced Board of Alderman Bill No. 189 and stated there should be an Ordinance providing for the assessment and collection of a Road poll Tax. Anyone who is unable to pay for his Road Poll Tax may work off the amount by laboring at street work for one day.
