Scope and Contents Note

Committee meeting records maintained by Tom Rasmussen's office. These records include materials on bicycle, pedestrian, and public transit improvements, the Seattle Transit Master Plan, alley vacations, urban hubs, impact fees, the King Street Station rehabilitation, and initiatives including Access Seattle, Bridging the Gap, Center City Intitiave, Greenways, Move Seattle, and the Pike/Pine streetscape. Also includes records of joint meetings, including with Seashore Transportation forum regarding Lake City and also Seattle Public Utilities and the Committee of the Built Environment regarding sewer overflow and wastewater management.

Biographical Note

Tom Rasmussen was elected to City Council in 2003. Prior to his tenure on City Council, Rasmussen earned a Bachelor's Degree from Pacific Lutheran University, a J.D. from Valparaiso University, and was an aide to former Councilmember Jeanette Williams.

Processing Information

CloneSpy was used to filter and log duplicate files. Duplicate files and non-record material were deleted. CUSpider SSN Scanning and DtSearch were used to screen for personal and sensitive information. DROID was used to identify file formats, extract metadata, and facilitate processing decisions. Files were then logged and transferred using Robocopy to preservation storage.

Digital files have been combined into the pdf/a format for accessibility. Original functionality such as hyperlinks may not be available.
