The meetings provide Council members the opportunity to apprise one another of issues that will be coming to the Council and to receive briefings from other City staff on programs, projects, and issues of concern for the Council. The meetings were formerly known as the City Council Business Meetings. Note that there are some years missing from the series.

One volume is divided into five sections: three sections cross-reference Council Bill, Resolution, and Ordinance numbers to volumes and pages of the minutes; and two sections cross-reference by subject. The second volume indexes volumes 12-21 of the minutes chronologically by broad subject headings.

Unofficial lists of City officials in pamphlet form. Some lists were compiled by the Office of the Comptroller, others provide no author. Some pamphlets include all City officials and their office addresses, boards and commissions, City Council committees, and Council Rules. The run is incomplete; there is not a directory for each year.
