Code Collection
Collection of various City codes filed with the City Clerk. Includes building, plumbing, electrical, fire, zoning, boiler, flammable liquid, and mechanical codes, among others. Also includes standard specifications and the 1936 compilation of general ordinances.
Electrical Code Advisory Board Minutes
The Electrical Code Review Board was established by ordinance in 1964; its name was changed to the Electrical Code Advisory Board in 1969. It provided the City Council with research and recommendations for proposed changes to the building code. The board merged with the Building Code Advisory Board in 1992 to become the Construction Codes Advisory Board. Meeting minutes discuss issues including electrical equipment, inspections, and enforcement issues.
Norm Rice Departmental Correspondence
Records include correspondence, memoranda, reports, studies, and briefing materials to and from City agencies regarding the full range of municipal government activities during Rice's terms as mayor. Topics include municipal facilities, arts and culture, planning, budget and financial issues, and schools and education, among others. Records are arranged chronologically and then by major departments within City government. Constituent correspondence is included in this record series.

Correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other materials related to education, public safety, land use, housing, and social services issues. Topics include the education summit, joint use of school facilities, domestic partnerships, the Comprehensive Plan, the Housing Levy, public restrooms, Just Cause Eviction Ordinance amendments, and drug traffic loitering. Most of the education material predates Harris' tenure on the City Council.
