Records concerning annexations to the City of Seattle during the 1940s and 1950s. Includes petitions, area maps, correspondence, ordinance copies, taxation calculations, and personal notes. Principal annexed areas are Arbor Heights, Ballard Tidelands, Blue Ridge, Lake Ridge, Maple Leaf, Northgate, Roxbury, Sand Point, Turner, and West Seattle. Also includes annexation studies by the Engineering Department and the Municipal League.

Petitions for annexation, certificates of annexation, incorporation certifications, and reports on proposed consolidation of services for the small cities that were annexed by Seattle between 1906-1910. Includes Ballard, Columbia, Dunlap, Georgetown, Ravenna, South Park, South Seattle, Southeast Seattle, West Seattle, and Yesler Precinct.

City Council Issue Notebooks

Notebooks and binders covering a variety of issues relevant to nearly all core functions of City government. Most of the notebooks were compiled for City Council members to provide background information for pending legislation. A large number of the notebooks are from Tim Hill, Jeanette Williams, and George Benson.
