Designed to train disadvantaged and socially handicapped persons in social and job skills, to create an industrial plant in the East Model Neighborhood, and to employ persons who successfully completed the work adjustment training phase of the project.

A project to develop new housing in the Model Neighborhood. In 1969, funds were committed for the building of twelve new housing units; however, the project came to a halt when HUD froze 235 housing funds. In 1973, the project assisted in the purchase of the Texada Apartment Building, which was renovated to serve as housing for low-income elderly Model Neighborhood residents. Records include correspondence with FHA.

Project to organize East Model Neighborhood tenants and provide legal counsel in addressing tenant-landlord problems.

Planning project for community redevelopment including community organization and management, an economic forecast, a social service program, and a housing and relocation program.

Designed to explore redevelopment opportunities as a means to overcome social and housing problems in the High Point Housing project in the Southwest Model Neighborhood.

Program to assist Model Neighborhood residents and businesses forced to move by public action in finding housing and making the move an improvement over previous living conditions. Operated by the Department of Community Development.

Project to make Model Neighborhood activity and service centers more accessible through convenient, inexpensive public transportation not duplicating existing transportation services.
