5751-12: Department of Neighborhoods P-Patch Photograph Collection

Dates: 1980 – 2010

Seattle's P-Patch program has been around since 1973, when part of the old Picardo family farm was acquired for a community garden. The Department of Neighborhoods now manages dozens of these gardens throughout the city. This collection includes photograph media documenting the program as a whole, including more than 80 p-patches located in most neighborhoods throughout the City, community members, student groups, harvests, work parties, and other events.
