The first episode of Beyond the Badge for 2002, produced by the Seattle Police Department in collaboration with the Community Policing Action Council with support from the Seattle Channel. This episode includes segments focusing on installing video cameras in patrol cars, work being conducted by SPD's driving under the influence (DUI) squad, and the 23rd & Union neighborhood's community efforts to make their streets safer. Hosted by Detective Randy Curtis (bomb squad, SPD).
Beyond the Badge was a collaborative studio production created by the Seattle Police Department with support from the Seattle Channel. Produced as a collaborative effort by the Seattle Police Department and the Community Policing Action Council. The program was broadcast in monthly installments from 1999-2003. Each episode included three segments: "In the News," "Up Close," and "Neighborhood Focus."
