Donation statement from Thomas & Carrie Burke, March 31, 1883.
Map spans north to south, from Main St. to beyond Adams St., and Lake Washington shore west inland for c. 5 blocks on southern section of the L-shaped plat & 12 blocks inland on the northern section.
Burke had named the blocks in the Addition, which are different from current names.
"Washington Park... is not dedicated to the public, but is hereby expressly reserved for any private use to which the owner of said lands may see fit to devote it."
