Opinions and advice from the Law Department relating to financial issues and other issues of interest especially to the Comptroller and Treasurer's offices. There is a gap in the records for the years 1934 through 1970. The years 1971-1985 are arranged alphabetically by subject. The years 1905 to 1933 are arranged chronologically.

Newspaper clippings presumably collected by the Office of Treasury regarding treasurer elections and related events and activites, as well as some unrelated events. Also included are clipipngs relating to meter maids, who worked in the Treasurer's Office beginning in 1957. One group photograph of meter maids from 1964 and a few pieces of miscellaneous textual documents are included as well.

Time and pay record for Treasurer's Office employees. Includes employee name, position title, days and attendance marks, monthly wage rate, amount due for pay period, total hours worked if less than full time, and special notes regarding vacations or other personnel actions.

Listing of guaranty deposits including department, date, voucher number, to whom issued and paid, amount, and how paid.

These index cards are arranged in two ways. Cards filed by LID number include enabling ordinance number, street name, consolidated ledger and warrant register volume numbers, date of bond issuance, assessment roll volume and folio, and type of improvement. Cards containing the same information are also filed by street name.

Delinquent assessment roll for local improvement districts in South Park. Includes property description, owner name, frontage feet, assessment, penalties and interest, total due, date paid and name of payee.

Roll of delinquent assessments for local improvement districts created by Town of Columbia Ordinances 29, 31, 32. Includes property description, owner, frontage feet, per foot assessment, total cost, penalty interest, total delinquent charge, amount and date paid, and special notes.

Register of all local improvement assessment rolls received by the Office of the Treasurer. Includes district number, ordinance number authorizing improvement, street name, nature of improvement, installment date, length of time for bond, percent, volume and page number, and date received. Arranged by district number.

Rolls of taxes levied by the City of Seattle on its residents, 1874-1876.

Lists of delinquent City taxes turned over to the King County Treasurer for collection. Once collected, proceeds were returned to the City Clerk. Includes name of delinquent individual or business, description of property, assessed valuation, and taxes owed. One volume (1876-1877) includes a list of collections returned to the City.

Rolls of delinquent City taxes and register of sales and redemptions. Includes property description, valuation, delinquent tax, name of purchaser (when relevant), amount paid, and date. Ordinance 29695 (1912) released all City claims to property liens recorded in volume 1 and Ordinance 45744 released claims from volume 2.

Record of 1892 city taxes collected between October 1892 and March 1893. Includes date collected, name of individual, and amount of city tax and grade tax.

Roll of delinquent 1892 taxes for the City of Ballard. Includes name, property description, total valuation of real property, total delinquent tax, and if applicable, sewer fund tax, interest due, penalty for delinquency, and cost of advertising delinquency notice. Also includes date of payment. All outstanding delinquent taxes were forgiven in 1923 by Ordinance 45744.

Record of delinquent taxes on real property for the years 1873-1884 and 1889-1890. Includes owner's name, legal description, year assessed, original tax, total tax collected, and sales information when property was sold to satisfy delinquent taxes.

Plat books consisting of plats reduced to 12"x12" format. Includes drawings of platted lands, name of plat, an explanation of plat, and certification of filing. Plats are for additions to the City, subdivisions, and condominiums. Available for use in the research area. Some volumes contain indexes.

Atlas for Seattle including 84 plates. Information includes legal descriptions, street names, building construction materials, paving materials, street grades, size of lots, and locations of street car lines, sewers, fire hydrants, water mains, and rail lines.

The Treasurer annual reports date from 1907 to 1985 and detail cash transactions for the City. In the 1980s the reports are published and include photographs and some text, in addition to financial statistics.

A register tracking details of court cases regarding the garnishment of wages of city employees.

A collection of registers from the City of Seattle Treasurer used to track various warrants between 1890 and 1955.
